Oh, gross!!!!

They look so sweet and innocent, don't they? 
Don't be fooled.

One of them left a welcome home gift
for us in the living room.
A wee, black, baby mouse lies dead in our living room.
I know it is a gift because it is uneaten.
It looks like it is sleeping.

Thank you, Sadie or Sophie,
but we'd prefer,
if you are going to kill mice on our property,
 that you eat them!
Outside!
And not on our welcome mat!
And whatever
that little green sac you always leave just
where we step outside the doors, we hope you
learn to love it as some kind of
rodent delicacy.

Eating them will save us money on your food,
 (somehow it never works that way though!)
and we will not have to dispose of your gift
or disinfect whatever you left it on!
