After a whole lot of troubleshooting, futile attempts on my part, much frustration, several times giving up but always going back to try again, I have succeeded in re-gaining possession of my blog. It has been over a year since I was first unable to access it. I have missed writing here and look forward to doing so again really soon.

I was very surprised to see that it has continued to draw readers during this time when nothing new has been written. I am excited to resume blogging and hope you enjoy what I have to share.

A lot has happened since the spring of 2013. We have been blessed with two more grandchildren, both girls born close together about 8 months ago bringing the number up to 13 grand kids, 8 girls and 5 boys. The oldest is now almost 17 years old. Where does time go and why does it go there so quickly???

This has been a year of struggle. I am now recuperating from health issues and getting used to living with other ongoing conditions. It has not been easy but as with all trials the Lord has been in them with us. He has carried us through, led us along, taught us lessons, chastised us sore and blesssed us mightily. It has all been for the good of our ever-living souls and His eternal glory.

My husband has officially retired---or, should I say officially on paper. Nothing will ever keep this good man down----there is always work to be done. My hope is that it will be work that is pleasant to him. We hope to travel the US, see our out-of-the-area kids and grandkids more often, enjoy gardening and a new dog or two! 

I have not, nor will I ever retire. I have been a stay-at-home mom since our first child was born and now am a stay-at-home wife. I enjoy keeping our home as much as I did right after we were first married. This is my calling. This is my joy and passion. This is what I hope to share----the joy of homemaking, being a keeper at home.

Hard times are on this country, this world, families----you name it----I hope to help my readers, and by doing so encourage my own heart, find (or recapture) the joy in caring for others and keeping a home even in difficult circumstances and hard times.

I hope you will enjoy and benefit from what God places on my heart to share with you. I am excited!
